Re: The appeal of Cajun music

You hear a good two step, you get up and dance with your old lady and ya'll are smiling and forget that on Monday you were fighting over who left one slice of bread in the bag.

You hear a good waltz you get up and dance and when you hear the vocals, fiddle, and accordion wailing over the dance hall it gets under your skin, give you the frissons, breaks your little heart right in two and helps you get over the hardships you felt in your life.

the same goes for me when I'm playing music. I can sleep good after a good jam, or playing a dance. I've never connected to any other music this strongly.
