Just for Big Nick's envie...

This is a little Zydeco jam with exaggerated bellows movement to illustrate the playability of the Roland. I should have been more expressive in the dynamics, but I can do that on another video. It looks like the right side of the video is cut off, so here is the link:

Re: Just for Big Nick's envie...

Hi Ganey, what keyboard arrangement (roland calls it "tablature") did you use? Some preset? Did you make any ones especially? - Nout

Ganey ..

Ganey,

Thanks for the great demonstration

I'm getting serious about purchasing one of these units.

Have you been playing the FR-18 live at gigs? If so,
how has it been performing for you?

I recall that Dwight had an issue with tonality?
(Maybe he got that fixed.)

Merci!

Re: Ganey ..

I am not certain, but I think Dwight's concern was just an issue with settings. The very first time I brought it to a gig, all of the guys grimaced at it. I wasn't too keen on it, either, but I had only received it the day before and didn't have time to read the manual, or play with it. After reading about the settings, I figured out the defaults and what settings I preferred. After that, it was all good. It sounds fat. I think I mentioned before that Chris Miller was playing fiddle with me one night and commented at how good it sounded in the mix. By itself, it isn't completely convincing, but in the mix, it is superb.

Oh, and check your email.
