Re: the only band in a niche, in the tri-state area..

Larry,

I hear you bro'

Frequently, the only thing that low-pay-gigs get
you is more low-pay-gigs!

I frequently hesitate to refer to playing in a band
as a "hobby" because one can put more work into
running a band than it takes to hold a "day-job"!

Bingo on both counts, and David; you're quite right, see below.

Now lets not forget the general plus of playing music: them Benefits of keeping your Brain Busy, and probably thus healthy in getting old. Maybe with a warning and the negative health effects towards sprouse or a house hold you're part of if you play accordion or banjo. They might only be safe and saved if Roland invents an electrical headphone equipped banjo too ....

PS, if you lived your musical life by ways of sex, alcohol and drugs, it might reverse your lifetime stint on earth. The exception of that rule are the the Rollings Stones? ... the Q is now: Are they a Living proof of a Lifetime Lie, or truly a Living Legend? Will Keith survive Chuck Berry?
