Re: Should I buy the Baffetti FBE?

If it was me, I would get the Baffetti Latino IV. That is because it has the more "normal" keyboard layout.

Baffetti makes a fine accordion. I am sure you will like whichever one you get.

Re: Should I buy the Baffetti FBE?

I'd be afraid of the tuning. Might be the same, but I have no idea.

Re: Should I buy the Baffetti FBE?

Why would the tuning be good on one Baffetti but bad another?

I know a couple people that have the Latino IV. They got them from Larry Miller. I played them, and I wish I had one. I don't think you have to worry about the tuning.

Re: Should I buy the Baffetti FBE?

The website mentions mussette for the GL boxes, and nothing at all for the Latino. Perhaps someone will have something I can lay my hands on at the Cotati Accordion festival coming up.

Re: Should I buy the Baffetti FBE?

Dwight,

What did you have in mind as far as tuning? I can get them with musette tuning if that is what you are looking for. Baffetti offers MANY different tunings for the different generes of music.

Karlos

Re: Should I buy the Baffetti FBE?

I had a Baffetti GL IIA FBE, with LMMM reeds, purchased new from Larry Miller with internal mic back in the day. It weighed 18 lbs., significantly heavier than the Roland.

Re: Should I buy the Baffetti FBE?

So, what would a recommended LMM be? The weight thing has put me off the LMMM.

Hohner has a Vallenato, but seems Hohner is way overpriced compared to other stuff out there.

One of those triple row videos on YOuTube showed a guy playing an Excelsior. I would assume they're less costly, but, what kind of quality?

Re: Should I buy the Baffetti FBE?

I was thinking about one of the Baffetti LMM models. It is Latino III.

Re: Should I buy the Baffetti FBE?

Hey Dwight,

I have a nice black Gabbanelli FBE 3 reed for sale.
I was waiting until Sept. to put it on eBay. It might be 4 years old.

I bought Russ' 4 reed Baffetti.

It has an internal mic and plays nice. With case.
$1800 + shipping.
