Re: OT: "tit fer", what's the best way to make a triangle of my own?

Kerry - I've made a couple though not exactly high level metalwork. 9-10" equilateral triangle with staff to match this dimension. Round bar about 5mm dia. For material I would use iron for a duller sound or steel for a brighter sound.

Re: OT: "tit fer", what's the best way to make a triangle of my own?

Mine was made from the tine from an old dump rake made by Brad Pine. There is a video of him on YouTube. Just type in this address, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KcT0kIlPPQ. If you contact him I'm sure he can tell you what is the best metal to use as he is a blacksmith by trade. Good hunting.
