any ideas for a padded over-the-shoulder carrying case? Not backpack style, single strap system, like a courier bag.

That case works good, but watch out for the zipper, it's right on the edge of the top and can scratch if you shove it in thinking that next beer.

And put a piece of thick foam plastic on top your accordion besides the stoppers, preferably on both sides, avoiding a direct hit getting at them ... Nout

I have that Peavey bag too and I find it works great. A little costly but well worth it.

I also have one, and I like it so much I will probably buy another.
