Ray Abshire

In case any of you live in the Mid-Atlantic area, Ray Abshire will be playing three times between this Thursday and Saturday. Courtney Granger and Ray's two sons will be playing with him.

Here is the schedule:

December 6th (Thursday) at 6 pm at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage. Admission is free. (Just do a search for Kennsdy Center Millennium Stage for more information). This concert will also be broadcast "live" on the internet.

December 7th (Friday) in Newark, Delaware, at a concert sponsored by the Brandywine Friends of Old-Time Music. Information about the location, etc., is available at brandywinefriends.org. If that website is not correct, just do a search for BFOTM.)

December 8th (Saturday) at Blob's park in Jessup, Maryland - about midway between Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, just off the BW Parkway. This is a dance performance sponsored by Dancing By the Bayou (dancingbythebayou.com).

Ray is one of the best Cajun musicians and accordion players anywhere. I believe that this is the first time that he has played in the Baltimore-Washington area; so if any of you live in the area, I just want to let you know - this is a special chance to hear him in person.
