OT- incredible workmanship

It ain't Cajun, but it is a one row. Some incredible workmanship. Really got a kick out of the base reed blocks.

Re: OT- incredible workmanship

Look again, Nout, they are mitered.

I like the air button, that seems like it'd be more comfortable than the buttons we use. I also like the setup for the base box for using extra base buttons.

I'm a bit taken by the base reed blocks. I'd really like to hear up close how that affects sound.

Re: OT- incredible workmanship

Chuck in Indy is probably ordering one as we speak...

Re: the brand is apparently "A"

Beautiful woodworking and those bass reed blocks look awesome but definitely over engineered. I'm not much of a fan of the distance between the edge of the fingerboard and the buttons.

Re: the brand is apparently "A"

I imagine the button spacing from the edge is part of a different style of playing, notice no thumb strap.

What I found interesting about the base reed blocks, besides the crazy angles, is having several reeds facing each other on different sides of the same block. I wonder if that affects sound any.

Re: the brand is apparently "A"

Perhaps it give it more of an organ effect?...It could just be the video posted of it on the melodeon board but that bass side really has an ethereal sound to it.
