Re: Weltmeister

I'm with Bryan on this 100%. I've played a few of both and my ears and fingers prefer the Welty, especially if you can get your hands on one of the older ones.

Re: Weltmeister

Nedro, I have played both the Weltmeister and the Gabbanelli and I definitely prefer the Gab. It is a little better built and uses a nice padded bass strap where the Welty uses a single piece of leather. The thumb rest is round on the Gab and therefore more comfortable whereas the Welty's thumb rest is flat and not as comfortable. I took my Gab to The Button Box and their tech Bob, took a look and said that it was an excellent box for the money. Doug said the same thing. The Gab is usually in stock and ships right away where as the Welty may be a long wait if it is not in stock at your local dealer. The Gab should be a little cheaper in price as well. Hope this helps.
