Dedans Le Sud De La Louisianne

I'll always be appreciative of those who saw value in our culture before we did, and most importantly, recorded it. Many thanks to JP Bruneau for this film, and generously making it available for free viewing and downloading. Link #2. Filmed almost entirely in my home area of Mamou.

Re: Dedans Le Sud De La Louisianne

I was looking for this video a couple weeks ago but couldn't find it. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Dedans Le Sud De La Louisianne

That video of Bee Fontenot playing Pain d'Mais has always been one of my favorites...holy crap that guy had rock sold rhythm.

Re: Dedans Le Sud De La Louisianne

One of my favorite tunes. Never heard it except on that recording.

Re: Dedans Le Sud De La Louisianne

I just watched the film. It was outstanding. Thanks for posting. All braves should watch it.

Re: Dedans Le Sud De La Louisianne

Way cool....
I had never heard of Bee Fontenot or that song. His style is great.
The other really cool thing about this video is Clifton Chenier pronouncing his own name "SHEN-YAY" , not SHE-NEER."
Can't stand it when I hear boozoo's last name pronounced CHAY-VIS, instead of SHA-VEE.
Ici ons parle Francais.....
Great video.
BTW, today I just finished watching J'ai 'etez' au bal,by les blank.
