Since Jamey said to go with it, I will. So.. the song of the month for February 2014 is "Bayou Noir".

According to the "Yellow Book" this song is about Bayou Noir to the west of Hackberry, LA - over by Lac Charles. I've found a number of Bayou Noir in Louisiana including one going through Houma.

Jesse Lege and the Southern Ramblers did a version that I just can't get enough of. The album used to be available for free online, but I can't find it now.

Like Bryan said, this song doesn't seem to appear much, but it's sure a toe tapper.

You're playing into my hand. Jimmy Thibodeaux's version of Bayou Noir is the ringtone on my iPhone. His is the "old style" mentioned later in Chris Miller's video.

Have been working on this one myself after listening to the Wayne Toups and Crowley aces version which is also in the old style, I also discovered the Chris Miller lesson which I have a stab at now and again.
I'm up for having a go- it'll be my debut vid! The main obstacle for me will be getting to grips with the technology.

Occupé didn't seem to get the sense of it. Would that be more correct?

I've always been good at making new words to existing songs and enjoy it. Filks, actually. It's always a lot of fun to incorporate the folks you know into the words for songs at a fire/jam.

AJ, there may be other ways, but I do it by clicking on the "share" button, then the "embed" button, the check the "Use old embed code" box. The just copy all the gibberish in the box and paste it with your message in the forum post. When you paste it, it will be the whole gibberish, but when you hit "post message", it will embed the video.

John, "occupé" is the only word I know for "busy with", but someone more fluent than me may know more.

You don't have to input it, just copy and paste the whole thing, should just take a couple seconds.

"Animé" means "busy" in expressions like "a busy town" (une ville animée). Not in your example.

But X... may be "avec une fille", "occupé avec une fille", or "être après courir après une fille", or "après courtiser une fille". Several possibilities...
