Re: Bayou Noir attempt (attn Ned... and Jamey)

Nedro
Google translate: chiottes = crapper

That would be very rude - which Cajun lyrics never are. They sometimes contain insinuations or double-entendre, but no rude words. Not that I remember, at least. That wouldn't be in the spirit of the genre.
Time to innovate maybe...

Re: Bayou Noir attempt (attn Ned... and Jamey)

OK. let s stick to the hangar.

Re: Bayou Noir attempt (attn Ned... and Jamey)

All Nedro would have to do is to change his habits!

Re: Bayou Noir attempt (attn Ned... and Jamey)

Nedro's habits and environs are dictated by Nedro's wife. Until her taste in music shifts to fully embrace the Cajun genre, my exile in the water closet will remain enforced.

A pragmatic solution would be to run off with a Cajun girl, but being in the twilight of my life, a queue of those willing has not yet formed.

At least you have great acoustics there. Enjoy your exile!

Re: Bayou Noir attempt

er .. before I forget: nice version, Jamey!
Do you start with the second part?
I will try to make up an attempt of my own, also based on the Chris version,
which I like very much, because it has a kind of creole quality to it.
