I like both versions.
Right now I have a different of Mardi Gras in mind. I learned that from Colette Lepage who used to play in our band long ago. It's still in my head. Hopefully I can make an acceptable video of that.

I like the Bayou Noir A-part with the high chords. It brightens up what can be a rather boring tune.
