Two Step de Platin

I'm trying to play this tune by ear, and it seems to have some awkward fingering. I end up playing a B octave at one point, which is very unusual from the songs I usually play.

Anyone else experience that? I see Ganey's video, but the accordion is a bit small in the overall image and I'm having a little problem making it out. And these days, it's harder for me to learn by video, even though that's how I started out.

Re: Two Step de Platin

I know that I responded to this, this morning, but now, it is gone. Dwight, I will try to find some time tonight or in the morning to redo it on a C accordion up close. That was the second video I ever did...ten years ago.

Re: Two Step de Platin

Ok, thanks. But, does it have some odd fingering like I mentioned? Just trying to see if I am doing something wrong.

Re: Two Step de Platin

No, there's no B octave and no odd fingering that I can recall. It does have odd timing. When you think the phrase is over, there's another little tag.

Re: Two Step de Platin

I'm clued into that off phrase. Ambrose seems to like those, given some of his other tunes. Anyone ever attempt Two Step de l'Afrique?

Dwight - you have an email address?
