Song(s) of the Month - April 2014

It's April and time for the song(s) of the month for the forum.

April is also time for Balfa Camp and they will be learning 3 camp songs - and so we'll be having a multi-SOTM. The folks at camp will have it easier, since they'll have accomplished folks teaching. The rest of us will have the whole month to work on one, more than one, or many (all). So much choice!!

If anyone could post instructionals - however short - on these songs, I know that there would be much appreciation.

In case you haven't seen the 2014 camp song list...

SOTW - can someone help with Dog Hill

I'm really wishing someone would post Dog Hill. I spent a frustrating hour last night on that and got nowhere.

Re: SOTW - can someone help with Dog Hill

Big Nick does a nice job of breaking it down on his website. Just click Return to Website at the top of this page.

Re: SOTW - can someone help with Dog Hill

Woot! Thanks Larry. I'm hopeful of knocking out all three this month.

And still gotta post the Convict Waltz.. Sigh..

Re: SOTW - can someone help with Dog Hill

How 'bout YOU doing a slowed down instructional of the Family Waltz?

Re: SOTW - can someone help with Dog Hill

Wow, Larry. I play that song a lot and it's been a while since I thought about it. I've been taking your advice on making a slow video, but man... it can be tough to think about it and play slow and clean.

I'll try to get it posted in the next couple days.

In the meantime... where's the songs??? Is everyone in Lafayette this week?
