Hi, I'm a beginner to the Cajun melodeon and wonder if anyone can help me out with Bignick's e-mail address ( I cant access it via his webpage ).
I'm trying to buy a dvd and live outside the U.S. so need the postage cost. Any help much appreciated. Many thanks.

Re: Beginner

Brian,

Big Nick will probably reply to you directly, but the easy way out is to buy on-line from Floyd's Record Shop. They stock all 3 volumes. Click link #2 or http://www.flattownmusic.com/Search.aspx?k=big+nick.

Good luck,

Nedro

Re: Beginner

Many thanks Nedro for that info. I'll follow up on those links if I cant access the e mail. Regards Brian

Re: Beginner

Welcome to the group Brian. Here is a link directly to Big Nick's DVDs: http://www.bignick.net/BoxLessons/Cajun_Accordion_Vol_1.htm
Give it a try. You made the right choice in using Big NIcks DVDs. You will be playing simple two steps soon. Also try the free box lessons at this site: http://www.bignick.net/BoxLessons/boxlesson_Index.htm
You can learn the Wafus Two Step there. It is a simple tune that is easy to learn, Good luck. If you need any additional help please post your questions on this forum. There are many, many experts in playing and building Cajun accordions here and they will be happy to help you. Stay in touch.

Re: Beginner

Hey Brian. Welcome! Don't be a stranger here. Lotta good folks here and the Song of the Month is a great way to break in.

Re: Beginner

Hi John, many thanks for the welcome and the kind advice offered. I'll watch out for those tunes. Just waiting for my ''tutorial DVD's'' but taking things steady in the meantime. Trying to get to grips with the 'basics' at the moment.
Many thanks
Regards Brian

Re: Beginner

Hi Dana, thank you so much for the helpful advice. I have ordered vol 1 & 2 ( thought I might as well get both as being a bit of a distance away :-)
It will probably be a week or so to arrive so in the meantime I will try the links you kindly gave.
Many thanks

Regards Brian
