"All night Long" by Ray Abshire is Terrific...

Haven't bought a Cajun/CreoleCD in years because I already have so many. Bought this one and I'm really glad. Great playing of course. One part I especially like is the rhythm section. Lotta guys just beat the **** out of the drums and the bass players play over everything. This CD has Ray's sons playing the bass and drums and they are so smooth and in the pocket. Makes for a great sounding band. Courtney and Kevin kill it on the fiddles of course. The accordion is out front. And because the reeds are original Sterlings the C Falcon and DS Sterling have that great "honk."

If you don't have this CD you might want to get it. Ray shipped it same day. Thanks for the great music...

Had it since it was out, very recommendable indeed:

and if you buy it from Ray direct he'll probably sign it LOL: http://rayabshire.com/recordings/

Get everything Jesse Lege, Ray Abshire, and The Poullard Brothers have ever done. Do it. Do it now.

Re: "All night Long" by Ray Abshire is Terrific...

Yeah, I know what you mean, I already have. It's been the only way I can learn to play the sucker since I lived in Japan. I've tried to fit in to the so-called Cajun scene in the San Francisco Bay area but I was and am still most unwelcome by that set. That's cool, I'll do it on my own. More of a challenge that way.

Got it at the local Library and you know what comes next
