Re: Port Arthur Blues - Savoy Family Cajun Band

Made me think of the Poullard Special. I'd say the two tunes are pretty cloesly related.

Re: Port Arthur Blues - Savoy Family Cajun Band

Yes this is the version that I had learned from one of Marc's
early VHS tapes.

When I play it in jams, it seems that many people are not familiar with
this "version".

I'm not sure where that "A-Part" comes from?

Thanks for posting Mark ..

Talking of things Savoy, had a fantastic nite at a Magnolia sisters dance here in Yorkshire UK last nite. Ann is great on the accordion, she really blew me away with the Ossun two step, the place was jumping! Thoroughly good swingin band.
