Early Cajun Music: "La Valse des Chantiers Pétrolifères (Waltz of the Oil Field)" - Amede Ardoin

Many Cajuns found those greener pastures through opportunities provided by the petroleum industry both across the Sabine and in their won backyards as fields cropped up throughout Acadiana, inspiring Amede Ardoin's 1934 Decca recording "Valse des Chantiers Pétrolifères (Waltz of the Oil Field)" (#17002).
