Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

JohnA: Any place without a toilet as a centerpiece is an improvement!

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

But at least in the bathroom, you got a place to sit.

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Wow! Ned, what did they do to you down at Balfa? You've been transformed when I wasn't looking - you sound great! Don't get me wrong, you were doing well and making great progress before, but wow: you kicked it on this song. Good rhythm, interesting and varied melodic changes, deft and smooth; it's time you got yourself a band together, young man! Only complaint I can come up with is weird video quality . . . good show!

And I know all ABOUT that bathroom "studio" business! But I moved it a long time ago - to the driver's side front seat of my truck. Who needs an airbag when you've got a bellows?

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Jamey, I had a rhythmic epiphany. After embarrassing myself at the first jam, I became friends with my metronome. Learning to play with a band quickly whipped me into line. A new band? I'm working on it - "Sons de Marais" (Swamp Sounds). Stay tuned...

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Good going Ned, here's my take;

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Now we go from AJ's laid back and rhythmic to my frantic and spastic . . . remember, it takes all kinds . . .

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Should we assume the sudden ending is the result of a collision? Text us (while steering with the knees), and let us know if you're OK.

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Yes, I was tragically killed - but I got to go doing what I loved! And the car I creamed had a Ted Nugent sticker on it, so it was a double bonus . . .

Naw, that was as much as my phone could e-mail me at one time . . . here's part 2:

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Gimme a minute, here. I'm looking up the difference in ghostly and ghastly...

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Really good Jamie- fast and edgy, I think the danger element enhances your playing in an Aldous Roger kinda way! Great vocals too.
Keep on trucking..... might be safer to do this when you're parked up though.

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Hahahaha... never mind cell phone talking or texting... accordion playing??? Holy moley frijole Jamey..

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Naw, John, WAY safer than texting: you'll notice that my eyes are on the road the whole time, unlike with texting.

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Wow AJ. I really like that version. Nice variety going on. I just wish you hadn't finished it up.

Man.. I'm just about ready to post. It was fighting me tonight. Tomorrow for sure. Amazing how a simple song can be so complex.

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Whoever you are give us back Ned and we'll even pay a very small ransom. The B-part doesn't work for me but the measured rhythm is a dead giveaway Mr. Imposter.

Also trying the embed code.

Re: Song of the Month - Eunice Two-Step

Wow! Good playing - good sound. The last time I saw that Sterling it was a basket case. Nice work on both the song and the box restoration, Bryan!

Eunice Two-Step - Late, but here it is

Whew.. this one fought me the whole way, but here it is. I sort of worked out the version that Horace Trahan did. I really liked that. It's rough, but here it is.
