Looking for a teacher in the Chicago area ...

So I recently took the plunge and purchased a used Cajun box. I'm working with the Big Nick DVDs, but I'd really like to take a couple of lessons just to orient me a bit, answer questions, maybe provide some useful exercises just to help me build coordination and muscle memory.

Does anyone know of any teachers or prospective teachers (i.e., players willing to give a lesson or two) in the Chicago area?

Re: Looking for a teacher in the Chicago area ...

There is a chapter of the Cajun French Music Association in Chicago.
They hold regular jams once/month.

You may want to contact them to ask about lessons in that area?

:-)

Biggie

We've got this fellow tied in already. Jams, dances and maybe even a few 'lessons.'
He's going to be a keeper. Maybe you'll meet him at Sunday's jam at our house. You're going to be here right?

Gene

You have indeed, Gene. Thanks again for reaching out and bringing me into the fold. See you Sunday!
