Re: Lyric to " Crawfish Waltz" by Lafayette Rhythm Devils

Crawfish Waltz (Valse des Ecrevisses)

Oh, mes chers amis,
Vient donc nous 'joindre à Pont Breaux,
Au Festival des Ecrevisses,
Où les cadjins viennent pour s'amuser.

Oh, mes chers amis,
Vient donc nous 'joindre à Pont Breaux,
La plus belle place dans la Louisiane,
Où les cadjins viennent pour s'amuser.

Marc.

Merci, Marc. You are truly amazing!

Original by Octa Clark & Hector Duhon

Clark and Duhon again. Octa Clark & Hector Duhon. This was the theme song for a radio show they performed on from Lafayette in the 1960s. The show was called the Jamboree. Clark refers to Madame Webb, the owner of the establishment where the radio show originated. I heard it was on the Lafayette northside.

Re: Original by Octa Clark & Hector Duhon

Same tune as Festival des Acadien?

Re: Original by Octa Clark & Hector Duhon

Yes, the same tune.
