Current Cajun Box Market

As best I can sort out, here's an overview of the current commercial market for new Cajun accordions, sorted into 3 price tiers:

> $2,500
• Marc Savoy - “Acadian”
• Clarence “Junior” Martin - “Martin”
• Randy Falcon - “Falcon”
• Rusty Sanner - “Heritage”
• Greg Mouton - “Mouton”

$2,000-$2500
• Bryan LaFleur - “L’Anse Grise”
• Jude Moreau - “Bon Temps”
• Leland Colligan - “Acadiana”

$1,500-$2,000
• Elton Doucet - “Cajun”
• Tim Reed - “Reed”
• Ken Mouton - “Breaux Bridge”

The focus here is intended to be active builders who are selling boxes on a regular basis (versus hobbyists or occasional builders with no commercial presence).

Additions or corrections to the above? Any of those listed who are no longer actively building?

Re: Current Cajun Box Market

As a newcomer, I appreciate that info greatly.

Castagnari...
With the Euro at a low ebb, $2500 and a bargain compared to other one rows.
This is not a Cajun box but a one row 10 button built to a very high standard.

Most of the Quebec made boxes by veteran builders is $2500-$3500.. why?
Design, materials, workmanship of a superior quality and many make their own bellows.

Re: Current Cajun Box Market

Are Bon Cajuns ( Bon Temps ? ) still being made ?

Re: Current Cajun Box Market

To the best of my knowledge:

Bon Temps (Jude Moreau) - yes

Bon Cajun (Larry Miller) - no
