Seems like we are going to have to look past the various spam appearing on this site and resurrect the purpose of the forum, Cajun accordion and related music. I had the great pleasure of seeing the Savoy Family Band in Rhode Island about 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic. The setting was by the ocean and the music drifted out the windows into the night. Despite the heat and high humidity the family was all energy and welcoming to the dancers and listeners. After the dance I walked up and shook hands with them and they seemed genuinely happy to extend their well-wishes back to everyone that they talked with. If you get a chance to see them I would recommend going.
