From the Beausoleil CD "L'Echo", I think. I think that this is another of those songs that was an instrumental first, then Mike Doucet added lyrics.

I haven't tried the verse yet, but here is what I hear for the chorus:

So, he's referring to Freeman Fontenot as Mr. Zydeco? Am I close? Can someone help with the verse?

I don't remember where I got them from. I might have transcribed/translated it myself, although in this case it is more likely that I took it from liner notes on the CD.
