I tried to show you the tags I used but it kept thinking I was trying to embed a real video and just showing a dead player. So watch the video in the URL above. It's very simple.
But here's the catch, for reasons I don't understand, you can end up with a few different types of URL formats from youtube. For instance the URL listed below the video will take you to the video if you copy and paste it into your navigation bar. But if you inserted that format into the tags described above it won't work, I know because I tried. It was created by Youtube when I clicked on "Share" in the video window.
So I went back to YouTube and copied the URL from the browser navigation bar and it worked. I've run into this type of situation before here and on other sites and my approach is always to tinker with the URL format to see if I can get it to work. Sometimes it does!
My GAwd! That's a lot to ponder over. Ok, thank you for this, I will get my team of scientists and see if we can decode it so I can post a video, lol. I will translate the song, just need some time. I have to bring in an older Cajun speaker to do the job. Then, this guy on the video doesn't sing it so clear and is using words I'm not used to. And a rare song. Will try.
Marc, I agree with all your lyrics except last line, could it be "tout les chose t'as haissais". I don't know all the verb forms of "to hate", but I think he's saying "I'll change all the things you hated".
yes, thank you both. I can't imagine how hard of a time I would've had trying to transcribe from the yew toob video. Easy Peazy Japaneezy. All done. Now Mr Hurd, you're all set!
I get the feeling Marc, that you are Cajun and speak Cajun fluently. You wouldn't perhaps be Marc Savoy? Because if you were, it sure would be pretty nice to hear your thoughts from time to time on the subjects of accordion playing and Cajun music. And maybe give us some answers about the conspiracy of the Savoy Gang and how they singlehandedly almost took over Cajun music and rewrote history. That, and I wanted to see how those jam sessions are going over at the music store. That guitar player Mr Clarence, is he still going there? How's the accordion players? Any good ole masters showing up to play? If there are any left these days.
He is really Marc from France and he studied Cajun lyrics his whole life :-)
It's amazing how fast Marc reply every time when we braves are in big trouble withCajun songs and the wordf of it
Marc is allways there to help us.
Thanks Marc from the flatland Bayous
Ok, not Marc Savoy. But still valuable to this accordion discussion no doubt. Yes, thanks for your inputs on the Cajun music lyrics. Don't hesitate to blast us with lyrics transcriptions any time you want.
