Re: Simple Tunes

Hey Jeff,

Bayou Pon-Pon! To me, this seems one of those that is really easy to play and to do well with pretty simple fingering as long as you got the timing down.

This just might be a good one to work on now for April (hint-hint-wink-wink).

Re: Simple Tunes

Can't think of them right now, but I'd nominate Chere Tout Tout to that simple but hard to make sound good category, also the Cherokee Waltz.

Re: Simple Tunes

JohnA - isn't Bayou Pon Pon a close relative of Colinda?

Re: Simple Tunes

Colinda and Bayou Pon Pon seem to have some very similar fingerings - but that is the case with a lot of the songs.

Both are right fun to play.

Re: Simple Tunes

J'etais au bal- that's a fairly simple one.

Re: Simple Tunes

I think that Jolie Bassette is one of those tunes. Many different versions trying for originality, but never making the tune difficult by doing so.
