Valcour is putting out a new album dedicated to some of the more well known players today, and put out videos of each recording on Youtube. My favorite is Walter Mouton's Catherine Waltz.
I haven't gotten through all of them yet, because I got stalled on Walter Mouton's Catherine Waltz and listened to it several times. It sounded familiar, and my first thought was correct, a song that Octa Clark had recorded.
Great stuff. The masters laid bare like this makes them almost seem human like the rest of us!
Really enjoyed the Jimmy Breaux Iota 2 step, a favorite tune done by a favorite player-
had a lesson from him once at a festival over here which was a real privilege.
