Re: T'en a eu, t'en auras plus V.S. Step It Fast

Interesting!

Is anyone familiar with the "Ward Lormond" version of the tune?

Re: T'en a eu, t'en auras plus V.S. Step It Fast

I take that back. Amede Breaux and Nathan Abshire may have popularized it after the war in the dancehalls, but it really wasn't until Bonsall's recording did people have easy access to listening to the song.

Re: T'en a eu, t'en auras plus V.S. Step It Fast

I've been playing this song for a long time and to this very day do not have the lyrics for "T'en a eu T'en auras plus" in my brain or song book. It was the 1st two step I ever witnessed played on accordion by an ole cat in my neighborhood. It was his signature song and he could smoke it, but never sang it! I never stopped to figure out the wording. It would be nice if someone finally posted the lyrics and the English translation hear on this very thread. Anyone? This is the version that I think sings the best if you can do it without swallowing your own tongue or having your teeth fly out on stage.

Hey, what's up Big Nick. Where you been lingerin?

Re: T'en a eu, t'en auras plus V.S. Step It Fast

The lyrics are one of those nonsensical types. I doubt that many people can sing that at full speed.

Re: T'en a eu, t'en auras plus V.S. Step It Fast

The lyrics are redik LOL. This one better stays an instrumental IMO.
