Re: Old Master Accordion For Sale in Iowa LA

Checked the ad..
Appears to an old "Master" accordi(a)n by Charlie Ortego.

They say in "good" condition. Either that's worn bellows tape where bellows tape doesn't wear or bizarre bellows tape.

Interesting treatment to the metal corners and top and bottom ends on the fingerboard. Also appears to have mitered corners.

Piece of history for a modest price.

I's be curious about the reeds.

Re: Old Master Accordion For Sale in Iowa LA

The "worn bellows tape" is more than likely a hot-rod flames of hell design.
I wouldn't mind taking a good look at it if I wasn't all set already.

Re: Old Master Accordion For Sale in Iowa LA

That's a pawn shop in Iowa, LA. They've been trying to sell this box for over a year and a half, but have never cut the price. Somethin' ain't right.

Re: Old Master Accordion For Sale in Iowa LA

"Somthin' ain't right" starting with "pawn shop"

Flames is exactly what I was thinking such as the box caught fire and someone dumped water on it to put it out.
