Shoo Black

Let's 'De-Greeze' for a moment and see if anyone can help me with this old Canray Fontenot song. Our band is working this song up with accordion and fiddle but I'd like to have a clearer understanding of the lyrics of this song before we go any further. Not just the French translation but the story of the song as well.. even if there's some undertones that may be too ' politic' these days..

My source shows lyrics as :( apologies no French 'accents' the words)

Shoo Black, Shoo Black,
Shoo Black Salmas Bertrand,
Doucement, doucemont,
Doucemont avec les cabris a pepere.

Charles Hebert est couche par terre,
Il guette not stag??
Il guette a travers.
Doucement, doucemont,
Doucement avec les cabris a pepere.

Shoo Black, Shoo Black,
Shoo Black Salmas Bertrand,
Doucement, doucemont,
Doucemont avec les cabris a pepere.

Charles Hebert est couche dans la baire,??
Il guette not stag??
Il guette a travers.
Doucement, doucemont,
Doucement avec les cabris a pepere.

Now here's another spin on Canray's piece..a Swedish Cajun Band really doing a great up-tempo job of the song..some pretty nifty accordion and fiddle work.
