Re: Harmona accordion

Yes Jeff 4 stops, unsure of the bass itsin another state and the guy has no idea.
And Jeff I haven't forgotten about posting photos of my custom mic for you, just don't know how to do it on the web page. Maybe I can have your email address
I'm after your opinion and David Sousa's.
I want to play this box live for a couple of songs only just wondering if it's good enough. It's marked made in Germany.

Re: Harmona accordion

It may be the same box as Gallotta, Regal and others, all identical from the same maker.

Not bad..

I played one for about 2 years.

Was there a price ?

Re: Harmona accordion

450 with a hardshell case never been played.

Re: Harmona accordion

Hi Dan,

Only have some vague recollections of Harmona from 20 years ago or more.

Like Jeff says, they may very well be a rebranding of Regal, Weltmeister, etc. That sounds right to me, but I am struggling to recall.

If they are the same or more or less the same as Regal, et al, it would be a decent enough starter box. It would certainly be vastly superior to anything coming out of China.

Bon chance.

Re: Harmona accordion

I found a bit of info.
Harmona was on the eastern side originally.
I think they have merged with weltmeister, not 100 percent sure though.
I had a ha 114 hohner with the spoons on the bass, found it to hard to play, hopefully this will be a bit easier, the ha114 leaked like a div.
Thanks for the feedback.
Dan

Re: Harmona accordion

Does the box have any label or imprint
Made in the GDR ?

IIRC the slides on the reed blocks may have been a type of nylon or plastic.

What key is the box ?

Does it look like the third box down in the link

Does it look like the second box down ?

Re: Harmona accordion

div or sieve ?

Why didn't you like the HA114

That is a classic box

I have owned the Welty and its derivatives but prefer the HA 114

Where do you reside ?

Re: Harmona accordion

I live in Sydney Australia Jeff.
I started on the triple row, and didn't buy a single row till I was 5 years into it, so I think that's made it difficult the two different styles.
Probably not the ha 114 but me.
The guy took the add of the Harmona down and I was unable to contact him even after he accepted my offer...... Oh well
