Re: Austin Pitre's version of Lake Artthur Stomp lyrics

I get a kick out of the "marching band" drums on this version!

I may give it a try but Austin Pitre is a real mush mouth so his lyrics are all hard to catch!

He has an acoustic version called Lost Lover Breakdown here:

Re: Austin Pitre's version of Lake Artthur Stomp lyrics

Hey ye yaille, malheureuse,
Qu'est t'as fait avec ton nègre ?
Tu connais cher tit' monde,
Tu me fais du mal jusqu'à jongler.

Hey ye yaille, joli cœur,
Tu voudrais t'en revenir,
Tu connais j'te pardonnerai
Mais pour tout ça mais toi t'as fait.

MARC.

thanks Marc! Thanks Neal!

Re: Austin Pitre's version of Lake Artthur Stomp lyrics

Thanks Marc! OR he could be saying

Tu me fais du mal juste à jongler

(You hurt me just to think of it)

Re: Austin Pitre's version of Lake Artthur Stomp lyrics

Marc, I don't know the fine details of the written language, but I think in the second line he's saying, "what did you do with your neg". In the Evangeline parish he and I come from, we said "qui" instead of "quoi", is that "qu'est"?

On the last line of second verse, I think Neal is right.
