As an admin on this site, I have access to the IP address used for each post.

The posts in this thread from CIAustin are from two different IP addresses, which means two people are using the same name, or at least different internet connections.

As far as I know, the names that appear on each post are simply whatever the user typed in. Bravenet does not appear to have the notion of unique user names, or registered users or anything like that. So, anyone (including trolls) can use whatever name they want on each post.

So, a troll might intentionally spoof or misuse someone else's user name, but they can't spoof the IP address.
