How should a cajun accordion be stored? In it's case or out in the open, maybe covered by a cloth?

not trying to be a smartass but i think an accordion should be played not stored. trying to "store"one will only become issues later on. flappers get stuck .reeds rust or corrode just to mention a couple things. must be kept exercized to remain in playing condition. sorry if this isn't what you want to know/hear but thats just my 2 cents. for what its worth.i keep mine on my coffee table so that its within reach when i feel the need to play(usually everyday)but if only put away for a little while, in the box is o.k. in order to keep it clean and in "working order". good luck.
