Re: Is anyone here familiar with Wilfred Latour and/or Carolyn Russell?

I met Wilfred Latour in the early 1980,s. If I remember correctly, he had a bar in Lake Charles. He was a good old-style accordion player.

Re: Is anyone here familiar with Wilfred Latour and/or Carolyn Russell?

Then he was a similar accordionist like you Robert :-)
Link#2 goes to an interview by Ann Savoy with Wilfred Latour.
Maybe Ann Savoy can help you.
I have an LP(1979) with the title Zodico Louisiana Creole Music on Rounder 6009
On this record is one track Bonsoir Two Step from Wlfred Latour and his Cajun Aces.
There's a booklet with the LP with information about Wilfred Latour.
Link #3 is about Carolyn Latour. She passed away in july 2019

Re: Is anyone here familiar with Wilfred Latour and/or Carolyn Russell?

Here's some more information about Wilfred Latour at Link#2 and link#3.
I hope that some people from Louisiana can help you :-)

Re: Is anyone here familiar with Wilfred Latour and/or Carolyn Russell?

Thanks, everyone for your tips. I'll look into them to see what/who I can find ;-)

Re: Is anyone here familiar with Wilfred Latour and/or Carolyn Russell?

Mr Latour’s daughter’s name was Bert if that helps. Tom Sauber might have contact info.
