It may be that not everyone knows that Jo-El Sonnier died on January 13th after a concert in Texas.
There is a terrific obituary in Offbeat Magazine, most of which was written by Dan Willging. It is available on the Offbeat website. I learned a lot of interesting information about Jo-El that made me appreciate him even more than I already did. He will be missed.
