That statement was not completely true, in that Canray could play the accordion, and he played well. He did not like the accordion because of its limitations, as opposed to the fiddle. He and I did some playing together at my house years ago and we would swap instruments, accordion and fiddle. He also played the guitar and mandolin.

I am a fan of your playing and I feel that your brother was one of the best accordion players ever. Congratulations on making those beautiful accordions. Does that make you the only Creole making the instrument or do you know of others past or present?
According to Mark Savoy and Larry Miller I am the first Creole person to build the Cajun Style accordion. There may be others who are learning, but at this point I do not know of any. Thanks!

Seems I'll need to spread the word over here in Australia about the Poullards and the Bon Temps availablity.....and, that Scheme designed to foster Craftsmanship and Technical Expertise is impressive. Someone needs a pat on the back for initiating it.
