I highly recommend this book!

I got a copy of it a few years ago and really like it. That is very exciting news that there might be an audio version at some point. I know that the stories were from recordings that Barry made and transcribed and translated.

One fascinating aspect of the book is that the stories are present in the original Cajun or Creole dialects, and also in English, side by side. My French isn't that good, so I would make a game out of trying to read the French, and only sneak a peak at the English if I got stuck. It would be even more fun to listen to the original French and see how much of that I could get.
