Thanks Craig for the info.

Re: Re: Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

if you decide to go to a 2 reed per note
chinese, i think 'aofia mari' is the
best one currently being sold.

i got a new one on ebay, case and all,
with shipping, for under $200, f/bflat/eflat.

which will be your most important keys..

get that key first if at all possible.

next best would be g/c/f

Re: Re: Re: Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

Hello Larry,
But how about the quality of that chinese triple row? I tried to play one at the Musicians Friend warehouse in KC,MO and the bellows were so stiff. It was really hard to play. Or could that have been because it was new. Do you know anyone that has had one for a long period of time, say 6 months or more? If so, what condition was it in?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

i've had mine for a year, it;s fine.

not sure if it;s actually changed or i just
don;t notice.

with all those buttons, bellows action
isn;t really my main problem!

was yours a sofia mari? they really are
better, just saying, i have no axe to grind.

you can pay 15 times the money for something
that is maybe twice as good in a couple of
aspects, i just can;t do it..!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

Larry,
I saw the Sofia Mari on Reyes Accordion website. Model SM-3112 sells for $649.00 - $749.00 depending whether you buy strips or solid colors. The above price is actually the list price for Musicians Friend box. On Musicians Friend, they have the
SM-3112 for $349.00 - $449.00. These are all 31 treble and 12 bass buttons. However Musicians Friend calls it a
Musicians Friend SM-3112 while at Reys, it is called
Sofia Mari SM-3112. I wonder are they made by the same manufactuer (Chinese made.)

Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

Are these the Sofia Mari accordions? I've seen them on the Reyes Accordion website for $750 and up. I believe it was the Gulf Music link. Other than the selection of keys, are they better than the Panther?
Thanks,
Craig

Re: Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

sofia mari would be in my opinion the best
chinese 3 row.

i would say better than a panther, yes.

and they look fabulous, celluloid covered keyboard
plate [not black], pearloid buttons [not plain
white], great colors, fake rhinestones, a great
case, diamond pattern on bellows front.

they would be overpriced at 750 though, my
$200 deal was a fluke of ebay i think,
but anything under $400 is fair.

Re: Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

I've seen the Sofia Maria in the Musicians Friend in the $300 range. Under $400.

Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

I now see Sofia Mari triple rows going for $350 (Google). None that I can see on E Bay though. So far, all are GCD. I'll keep my snoot to the ground.

Re: Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

you mean GCF.

but they do come in other keys.

mine is f/bflat/eflat.

Re: Re: Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

The other day ,I "visited" one of Reyes Accordion provided links, and came across a bunch of customized Baffetis, specially done in factory, and amongst them was a yellow,5 switchers 3 rows Goodlin!!!.
I knew that they made 3 rows, but 5 switchers.
Anyone knows about them, is it an old issue?.

Thanks,

C.

Re: Want to buy a Triple row accordion

I stand corrected. I will see if "The Guitar Center" has any for me to try. The FBbEb would be the purchase.
Thanks Larry!
