Drunkard's Blues - Lyrics?

Anyone know the lyrics to Drunkard's Blues, as done by Austin Pitre?

This sounds like a fairly accessible song.

Who else has done it?

Re: Drunkard's Blues - Lyrics?

Drunkard's BLues (Blues de Soûlard)

Quand les blues me prend, moi j’ suis gone
Moi, je suis parti m’ saouler
Comme moi j’ suis saoul, bébé, moi, je rentr’ à la maison
Pour voir ma chèr’ tit’ femme

Quand moi j’arrive à la maison, la ‘tite femme après quereller
Moi, j’ai d’mandé pourquoi tu m’ querelle
Elle a répond mon nègre, c’est pour ça que moi j’ te querelle
Je te vois tout l’ temps parti

This song was also done by Louis Cormier and the Moonlite Playboys, but I guess it comes from the English version by Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys.

Steve Riley also did this song on 'Tit Galop Pour Mamou...

Thanks Yves. I appreciate your response on this.

I wondered if it was the same as the English song, but didn't listen to the English version because:

1. I'm sure there's no accordion
2. I'd sound foolish singing it in English for a cajun dance crowd.
3. I don't like country, even if its swung.
