Re: Re: Need lyrics to Amitie Casser asap!

I have no clue how to speak French, I just squeeze the accordion. I'm just writing it as it's typed on CDUniverse.com

I don't have the liner notes, Wilson Savoy put it on a compilation CD for me. Can anyone help?

Amitie Casser

Apres connaitre que t'as casse notre amitie.

Correction to person in the first line of the third stanza

person should be spelled personne...I've been writing in English for too long .

Re: Correction to person in the first line of the third stanza

John, thanks for your input. I've forwarded it to Anne, the singer of our Cajun group.

See, I've never bothered to learn Cajun French, but I love Cajun style accordion and started playing it about 4 years ago (non stop). I don't have the time to indulge myself in languages, I play tons of instruments and have two bands. One day I'll figure the language out

thanks again

I like the lyrics.
Where can I listen to a clip on the net?

There are clips of that tune at CDUniverse.com and I think Amazon. Just look up Horace Trahan. It's on his 1996 album 'Ossun Blues' (Sp? Ossun?)
