Hé, vilaine manière,
Moi je connais je mérite pas ça,
Ça t’as fait là avec moi,
Tu vas pleurer il sera trop tard.
Hé, vilaine manière,
Tu voudrais t’en revenir
Oh, z’avec moi,
J’étais content de te revoir.
Oh, chère bébé,
Moi je connais je mérite pas ça,
Hé, tout ça t’as fait,
Pour longtemps tu vas pleurer.
There is another version, with different lyrics, by the Savoy-Doucet Band (CD « Home Music with Spirits »).
Michael Doucet sings this :

Sometimes it’s called « One-Step à Chaumont », sometimes « One-Step de Chameau » (Camel One-Step).
I wonder if « chameau » can have the figurative sense of « a bad person » in Cajun French (as it does in st. French). Which would fit here. Does anyone know ? Unless it’s just « Chaumont », somebody’s name or a place.
