LeonR and Daytona7 also are the same "person", BUT I don't think that they are dangerous, it's just that they have found , like a lot of us a "way to express" themselves.
I would agree that sometimes some of us "hide" behind fictitious names, and I do agree that it's not to bright, but if you do get away with it, and as you get braver and bolder and start abusing some intrensiquely well accepted rules: that is commun decency and respect of the others then that's when it becomes annoying.
I'm one of the ones that will post with my email adress but that's me, as I'm not a believer of "hiding" behind a childish ruse, but others will not and hopefully it's not because of malice, but simply a case of immaturity.
So let them "PLAY" , eventually and hopefully they'll grow out of it .
The web offers ways of communicating that allow the sender to hide one's real indentity, thus allowing some of us to feel a false sense of security in abusing the system.
But every system will allow the "Keepers" of any of this organisations to eventually found the abusers.
well believe it or not i dont care because I did win the accordian contest in jennings i took first place if you dont belive it go check the site yourself. And those of you who are throwing accusations of someone being immature or a case of immaturity, try not to judge a book by its cover "if you can even see the cover"
I mean, you could be Daytona 7, who posted on this very site Feb 16th at 9.53 am, relating to one's sexual prowess ,couldn't you?.
You keep adopting all sorts of " nom de plume" and pretty soon ,now knowing your penchants for that sort of thing, readers on this site ,will have the "right" to assume that you're the culprit, wouldn't they?.
Now people will know you like reading the page of an open book, they won't have to guess who you are by your "cover" .
They don't even have to assume; the IP addresses give him away! But we'll leave him guessing about what "IP addresses" are.
And by the way, there are websites where you can also do a reverse lookup of an IP address to see where it comes from.
There are ways around this, of course, but luckily some folks don't bother to go so far, or can't figure it out.
Claude,
I use both daytona7 and LeonR on several sites but I have been using daytona7 for about 8 years. Plus I do not hide my e-mail address. The Feb. 16 post is about done. Found out they are moving back up north end of March.
My name is albert dailey, cajungreeneyes. I am not Aaron chesson. I dont give a rats ass about IP addresses. This is the only name I post under, cajungreeneyes.
Perhaps, Joanie Blonde should unmask these or that Jocker, what do you say, Joanie.
After all, what we do not need is a band, or for that matter one indignant soul standing defiantly ,proclaiming their innocence, for all to hear .
God, for whatever reason(s) they "ALL" seems to remind me of Pete Rose at his sanctitious best .
What is an IP address exactly?
Can two different people have the same one?
Do lots of different people have the same one?
Or are they completly individual and no two are alike?
Although usually IP addresses are unique...AOL routes traffic from multiple states through the same IP address.
A quick definition from:
http://www.wikipedia.org/
An IP address (Internet Protocol address) is a unique number that devices use in order to identify and communicate with each other on a network utilizing the Internet Protocol standard. Any participating device — including routers, computers, time-servers, printers, internet FAX machines, and some telephones — must have its own unique address. This allows information passed onwards on behalf of the sender to indicate where to send it next, and for the receiver of the information to know that it is the intended destination.
yup..i think that could be the real culprit here....AOL..aaron and cajungreeneyes both have aol...99% of the time IP addresses are unique and are assigned to the MAC address of your network card or router.. but since AOL has been thrown in this equation there is nothing i wont put beyond aol's craptastic network...if it can be screwed up..aol can do it!
so cajungreeneyes and aaron i offer my apologies...i overlooked the fact that you were both on AOL.
Does that mean that AOL is providing anonymity for its users? Can anyone confirm that this is really happening (by posting via yet another AOL login)?

Awhile back I decided there was too much fictitious posting going on, and so decided to include IP addresses in the posts HOPING that folks would take the hint. Apparently some didn't. Just try to play nice and don't let egos get in the way of what this forum is SUPPOSED to be for.
There's a guy in Italy who's into cajun fiddling, but can't find anyone to play with. Just in case you're in the same neck of the woods, want me to connect you?
Where are you exactly?
He posts over on my cajun-fiddlers yahoo group. I'm not sure where he is. I'd have to ask.
I've only read stuff on this list for a very short time and I've never understood why people just don't sign their names and where they are from at the end of each post. Its kind of nice to know who is saying what. Why do we have to be in the dark about a persons identity?
