Chris Miller and Bayou Roots are one of the freshest and most talented acts in Louisiana. I missed a chance to see them at Big Daddy's in Iowa LA last Saturday night. That night, I *had* to boil 2 sacks of crawfish for my family in Lake Charles (as if they don't know how to do it themselves.) Truth be known, I do throw a mean boil, better than theirs (shhhhh!) but I was playing Chris' CD wishing I was at his gig last Saturday. Catching him at the Liberty is about as good as it gets. Wish I could be there instead of stuck in Big D. (Somebody queue up the Bayou Roots Special, for me pleeeeze...)
