Re: Folsom LA

Folsom appears to be outside of the golden triangle, smack dab in the middle of the Florida Parishes. Don't know much about that area, but if Katrina didn't wipe away everything, you might find a little smokey roadhouse with a decent jukebox. Bet you can at least find some decent food. Second best bet would be to head to The Quarter, [groan] but don't expect to get your fill of C&Z there, either. Third (and sure-fire) best bet would to go ahead and make the journey west to Acadiana. Check out "The Patsy Report" the week before you roll, for shows on the days you'll be within range of the greater Lafayette area -- about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Folsom. If you've got the time, you won't regret it!

Re: Re: Folsom LA

Folsom is blue grass and country music in taste. won't find much of anything cajun there.

Re: Folsom LA

Thanks very much for your information. That chance of going there is getting smaller and I think I will wait till I can get to Cajun Country or Augusta. There's
enough Blue Grass and country around here in S.C..... Ed

Re: Re: Folsom LA

If your funds are limited that is the best thing to do. If your main interest is Hearing some cajun music may as well wait till you can get to the Lafayette area. Good luck.
