Re: Augusta Heritage Center Roll Call?

I'll be spending July 9 week at Augusta. In addition to Ed Poullard teaching Creole repertoire, another Creole master musician is in residence:

GUEST MASTER ARTIST - Nolton Simien is a master Creole accordionist from St. Landry Parish. He began playing at an early age, and eventually formed the band Nolton Simien and the St. Landry Playboys. He currently plays in Trio Kreol with D’Jalma Garnier and Jeffery Broussard. This will be his first appearance at Augusta, and he will be on hand all week to perform, jam, and work one-on-one with students.

Up here in the Northeast, this weekend is the annual Springtime Reunion festival, including a band with Ed Poullard, Jesse Lege, and Al Berard. That is going to be some sweet music (http://czspringtimereunion.org/).
