Re: Re: Re: Thumbs up on the Eric Martin L'Accordéon Cajun method
Hello Ed,
Scroll down to the subject :eBay Cajun Method w/tabs by Eric Martin. All the info is there.
Mine arrived and I'm pleased with the book and with the CD.
Good luck.

Thanks Claude.
I found it on the eBay in France.
Now I have to get the nerve to buy someting totally thru French. Been awhile since I spoke any French and that was with my college girl friend from France.
We'll see. Thanks again.... Ed

Hi.. I found my copy on eBay France.. if you from B. Loffet who sells the method on eBay.. search under accordeon diatonique.. or perhaps on U.S. ebay under the heading listed in the above posting. Bernard's site is http://diato.org .
The playing is not viruoso Cajun born and bred.. but is perfect for learning from and adding your own flavours to. These are French diatonique players doing Cajun..and teaching it well. The French have a long tradition of teaching diatonic accordion via tabs and CDs.. (usually 2 row )..and there are plenty of similar materials for French traditional music to be played on GC double row accordion.
I have never heard of JR MARTIN's method..where is that found ?'
This was the first 'tuition' method I tried - before getting the Dirk Powell videos and the Savoy video.
Nice and straightforward and easy to understand and follow. I still find that I refer to it every now and then. There are some tunes on there that I still haven't got versions of on cajun artist's CDs. As Glenn says, great for the photos too and another nice piece of 'cajun' related 'memorabilia' to own at an inexpensive price.
Eric Martin's cajun band are very good if anyone has heard their music? - 'Eric Martin and the Cajun Ramblers.' Christian kindly sent me a CD of theirs a couple of years ago. Recommended.
He makes his own 'Martin' cajun boxes as well. I believe they are on a par with Louisiana made boxes.

Can you please post the link to order directly from Eric? I have not been able to find the book except from ebay.fr and I can't read enough French to get through that one.
