Don't know if anybody is interested, but I'll pass this along anyway. I met a gentleman today who has a Sidney Brown accordion that belonged to his father. He doesn't play, and says he is too old to learn. He would rather sell it and pay the life insurance premiums on his mother and brother in the nursing home.
The accordion appears to be all original, in great shape and recently tuned. This would be a great example of Sidney's work for collecting, or a good beginner accordion if it were treated with respect. He would like $600, but I think he would take $500. If interested, email me and I will put you in touch.
Re: A Great Collectible or Beginner (Sidney Brown) Lagniappe!!
I wanted to add...according to Sidney Brown's records, he built around 70 accordions. I have held in my hands and played about 20 of them. This particular accordion is one of the better ones that I have seen.
Re: A Great Collectible or Beginner (Sidney Brown)
My brother in law lost a Sidney in Rita. I have seen one at larry millers shop and a neighbor of mine has one that he still plays regularly. I've got three accordions in the curio right now and would love to add a Sidney Brown. In other words, very interested.

Mr. Falcon just informed me that a friend of the family who heard about the accordion through this message board, bought the accordion. I am not sure who it was, but maybe they will reveal themselves. He sends his thanks to everyone who expressed interest.
