Well, my favorite radio station for Cajun Music is KRVS (krvs.org). They do not have Cajun music all of the time, but Pete Bergeron has a terrific show every morning from 5 to 7 am Monday through Friday. It helps that I live in the Eastern Time Zone, but Pete has a fine radio program. KRVS also plays Cajun music almost all day on Sundays.
I have a one hour zydeco show every Monday night on KNON 89.3 FM, Dallas. 9 to 10 PM. There is a Cajun Show on one hour before mine from 8 to 9PM. So if you find yourself with nothing else to listen to on Monday nights between 8 and 10, you've got 2 hours of S. Louisiana music, broadcasted both on the Net and across Dallas/Ft.Worth at 55,000 watts. See www.knon.org for more info.
Rick Michot, Gervais Matte and Mom Sundays on KRVS
Sundays on KRVS, Judge Rick Michot has a fine show often featuring some of his field recordings of artists like Dennis McGee, Varise Conner, Lionel Leleux, Octa Clark et al. After that it's the show with Gervais Matte and Mom, then Nonc Jules.
KRVS also broadcasts a live show from the Liberty Theater in Eunice on Saturday nights. Quite a number of Braves have performed there.
KLRZ "The Rajun Cajun" "All Louisiana All the Time" streams over the internet. Click Here >>> THE RAJUN CAJUN or use the active Link #3. Their programming runs more towards Swamp Pop, but they do play Cajun and Zydeco too. About 10am or so on weekdays and at various times on weekends, they have call in talk shows. Oooh Cha, now does are CAJUN accents! KLRZ broadcasts from the Larose/Golden Meadow area of Louisiana near Thibodaux and Houma ~ south of New Orleans.
